BRIDGING THE CAROLINA'S TO A NEW TOMORROW ! We are building a Music Sanctuary / Hall of Fame / Free Information and Advice Center for Carolina Artists. CAROLINA SOUND will be on the border of SC and NC. Spread the Word and Support the CAROLINA SOUND !
Through the CAROLINA SOUND, we are Changing the World ! People are organizing to help these kids. They need to get to know their young artists. There are thousands of them.
What's it like to be young and in the Music Business in the Carolina's? THE STORY IS IN THE KIDS. I hope you will interview some of them and follow their stories. Especially as they become involved with giving back through the project, CAROLINA SOUND.
1. Connor Eccles, SC
Connor was the first to participate. He had injured his back when he was hit on his bicycle by a car. He came to our house in Mount Pleasant and with an injury...carried a large amplifier up our stairs to play with us. His portable amplifier had been stolen. He'd studied music from India, played electric guitar, and did an improv style with my daughter Ginger's songs. We'd never heard anything like it... INSPIRED was born. We tried for 8 months to get Connor to record with us in Florence, but by doctors orders, he couldn't travel. We will record his music on INSPIRED II and use a Charleston studio for his part.
Eddie was not on board yet. We were using the Internet to recruit talent, expecting to have about 7 kids. Little did we know that this was the most exciting thing that we've ever done !
2. Brandon Lamar Simmons, SC
Brandon is the ultimate Artist. He is the entire package. Charming, attractive, polite, enthusiastic, and plays all instruments. His song, Drowning, brought the environment to INSPIRED.
3. Chelsea Summers, SC
By now, I've recruited Eddie. He had several events encouraging young singer/songwriters to perform at Awendaw Green. He would suggest people to me and invite me to watch them play. INSPIRED required that an Artist write and play their song. Chelsea Summers ended up being the Queen of the record and we made a nine song cd for her, self titled, CHELSEA SUMMERS.
4. Carina Point, SC
Carina Point was also an Awendaw Green hookup. Chandler Brown heard us inviting Chelsea to Florence and asked if his band could participate. Eddie gave the ok and said they are great. When Carina Point arrived in Florence at Southern Harmony Studio, the three of them included Grace Evans. She had just recovered from Mono. and was very thin but beautiful. The three were very much in their own world and extremely talented.
5. YADDATU, NC
Four of the nicest coolest guys you'll ever meet. Longtime friends, Kyle, Simon, E'Lon, and Ben. They're super good friends of Eddie's. They have camped and played at Awendaw Green many times and stayed at my house near Manning, SC for a week recording. In between Pink Floyd and the Beatles, Yaddatu has a Wonderland of their own Imagination.
The next four artists were recruited from a project we did in 2012. 42 Charleston area kids performed several shows called FREE FALLING.
6. Emily Skipper, from Folly Beach, SC
7. Brady Sklar, Cavalier in Clay, SC
8. Katina Rose, a band out of Mount Pleasant, SC
All of these Artists have pursued a career in the Music Business. I invited them to be on INSPIRED, especially because of their songwriting ability. I was seeing Amazing talent from Awendaw Green, but when it came down to WORDS, these Artists could Move Your Soul. They were enthusiastic to be working with me and Ginger again. It was Awesome to be working with them in the recording studio after doing shows with them.
9. During the recruiting process, I had been inviting my 21 year old niece, Camille Blanchard, SC. She plays piano and each month, I would call her and she would say her song isn't ready. Then she went to Barcelona and INSPIRED was almost finished. But I kept saying that Camille has to be on the record. Then she went to California. After a breakup with her boyfriend, spontaneously and partially written in the studio, Camille composed and recorded the final song on INSPIRED, STELLA'S EVEREST. The final words on INSPIRED are, I'm all out of Love.
10. Alex Madison Hoffman, SC
The Heart of INSPIRED. A cross between Cat Stevens and James Taylor, his lyrics create the mood of a modern day male. Gentle, Modest, Vulnerable, he has no filter and touches you in a way that is very Unique. We recruited Alex by running an ad saying, Searching for a lead singer in a band similar to The Cure. He was our third caller and a Scorpio. A water sign, pure emotion.
11. Wyatt Garey, SC
Wyatt Garey was involved throughout the recording process. He is the lead guitar player for Stop Light Observations. They went on a West Coast Tour so Wyatt was working around their schedule. His original song, Zingara, has 7 instruments that he is playing himself and he is the most talented lead guitar player I've ever met.
12. Casey Malanuk, SC
Casey was also an Artist from Awendaw Green. We had several very young female artists and we wanted a young male artist to balance the stage. Having just turned 15, Casey was perfect. He sang 11 different vocal tracks and played mandolin and guitar, composing a Work of Art. He has continued to write many many many songs.
13. Last but not least, Ginger Winn, SC
My daughter, Eddie's niece. She had a young band named KINGSE and performed under that name as a solo on INSPIRED. Her new band is called PONDERING WADE. They are practicing and performing in NC, SC, and GA. They perform an original show written by the four female band members called THE BONFIRE SHOW. It's a celebration and triumph of women's struggles through adversity. They are planning to play for Oprah, Iyanla Vanzant, and Michelle Obama and her family. GOT TO DREAM BIG !!!
INSPIRED is about Death, Loss, and Passion. It's Artistic, Poetic, Unique, and Meaningful. Thank you for helping get the message out that the CAROLINA SOUND ROCKS
Eddie, from Awendaw Green, has helped me collect these talented kids that will influence the generations of Carolina Kids forever. Lets provide healthy mental nutrition, the way McDonalds was forced by the soccer moms to provide healthy nutrition in their Happy Meals.
Awendaw Green will be posting the info for CAROLINA SOUND, ASAP, as we gather our details for this next project. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU !!!

We are giving away 1,000 copies of INSPIRED and we'd love to give you one. A few days ago, one of the Artists on INSPIRED killed herself, Grace Evans, 18. CAROLINA SOUND could have saved her life. Please help us spread the word about the desperation, apathy, and exploitation that kids in the music business are facing.
